Morco Coffee New Menu Launch and 1st Year Anniversary Celebration @ Bandar Sunway
Morco Coffee at Sunway is a place to cherish beautiful beans combined with passionate brewing and paired with curative plates of food to match the mood. Serving fine artisan coffee, Morco recently celebrated the 1st anniversary and demonstrated what they’ve been holding on to all this time – a passion for serving the finest espresso coffee and handbrew coffee to their patrons.
The batista, obsessively committed to his craft, demonstrates a hand pour and explained the techniques of chemex.
Here is a sneak peek to the newly crafted menu: a handful of savoury plates and a lovely spread of dessert cum main. Food is simple and high quality but could use a little more consistency. Salad dish kick started the lineup of new dishes. Morco Green here puts together a good mix of nutty and light fresh sweetness from the use of arugula and sweet corns and pomegranate. It was a pleasant graze to eating right when starting a meal.
The mains brought us to the sea and the barn. Serving a seafood pasta dish that comes with calamari and tiger prawn- Fruit in the Sea; as well as the Champ Roast Chicken, were both attractive looking and certainly charming with those flower garnishing. Roasted chicken leg served with a bed of sweet pumpkin is ideally a better choice of food for me but selection of seafood that comes with the pasta really got me thinking twice.
The dessert got my attention and although the portion is petite but the light pancake stacks combined with the mixed berry and green gelato creates a decent sweet balance for the palate. Unlike the Matcha Pancake, Banana Crumble could satisfy the sweet tooth courtesy of the perfect match made in heaven – nutella and banana. And while they could have gone overboard with the use of those edible flowers (it’s on every dish), I really didn’t mind it blossoming on their desserts even though the petals contribute very minimal flavours in general.
Morco Coffee is defiantly a joy, with ample good offering and baristas who know their business and is absolutely passionate about coffee. They seemed to also know that a smile and a friendly word are just as important as efficiency. It pays off. It was a satisfying experience and leaving was a wrench. All guests probably enjoyed the evening as much as I do. Catch some of the highlights on my saved Snapchat stories here:
On top of this new menu introduction, Morco Coffee also introduced their drip coffee pack. I’ve posted this one on my instagram not long ago and as much as I love those aeropress coffee, brewing fresh coffee has never been easier! Morco Coffee Drip Coffee Pack is a convenient andeasy way to brew coffee hassle free. This house-blend dripper pack would be available on sale in participating MORCO COFFEE stores soon.
@morcocoffee introduced their drip coffee pack in conjunction with the recent 1st Anniversary celebration. Many congratulations of course. A cup of artisan brew is now a lot simpler but at the same time this one is contributing as an enabler for me to be lazier... 😓 #foodphotograph #sycookieskitchen #coffee #coffeetime #morcocoffee #passionforgreatcoffee #artisan #brewcoffee #dripcoffee #coffeeshot #caffeine #homeandliving #malaysiancafes #eatdrinkkl #halal #burpple #burpplekl #buzzfeedfood #yahoo #cupsinframe #igmy #vsco #tablesituation #onthetable
