All time favourite Indian Cuisine
Indulge in a Banana Leaf Rice set with a whole range of spicy and tangy curries alongside with some vegetables in SS15 Subang Jaya for lunch on a weekday is probably one of the most enjoyable thing you can possibly think of doing with your close friends. And in order to do that, you’ve got to either do it on a Public holiday, or if you manage to skip work. I was fortunate to have Juwin with me and even more fortunate that we both adore the banana leaf rice.
Banana leaf rice is a popular dish in Malaysia essentially as one from the Indian cuisine. Originally from South India, this set meal is served on a banana leaf with some plain rice and a spread of vegetable garnishes the side lines. I took photo according to serving sequences.
Enhanced with chutneys, pickles and diner’s choice of fish, chicken, or mutton curry along with Rasam, and optional plain yogurt, we practically eat like kings.
Just for the kick, I do like the papadum craked and sprinkled all on my rice.
The choices of curry and dahl here is amazingly delicious.
Juwin and I shared some mutton curry and deep fried chicken.
Oh before I forget, this is Juwin. I supposed I’ve mentioned this best pal of mine several times in my blog, but not yet introduced visually.
And like many Indian restaurants, there is also an assortment of kuih and traditional Indian desserts.
